Description:
Green Belt Movement Acrylic/ canvas, hand-woven old linen, size 120x280 cm, 4 parts "When we plant trees, we plant the seeds of peace and hope" (Wangari Maathai) This picture is a tribute to Wangari Maathai, the first African woman to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. With her work "Green Belt Movement", the planting of over 30 million trees in Kenya, she realized her vision for climate and environmental protection. It's my vision that the empty areas in the picture will also turn to green.
