Title:
Manual for a Universal Rooting

Author:
Martina Tina Grifoni

Description:
The "Manual of Universal Rooting" is a little book that contains fourteen performative actions. It has 36 black and white pages where the actions are described with short sentences (translated in 4 languages) and simple drawings. Being aware about the big crisis the globe is going through, we decided to focus on this topic convinced that to achieve a true paradigm shift it is necessary to rediscover a way of life which is more connected to our environment by remembering that we are part of it. We intend “rooting” as re-connection to oneself, to others, to one’s context and to Nature. (This a project by Tina Grifoni and Chiara Colombi). This artwork aims at triggering an ecological change. Among its 14 actions you find meditative exercises, but also suggestions such as to consume local, seasonal and ethically produced food and commit to be part of the change around you.
