IFAI and the Alliance for Youth-Led Futures at COP30 in Belém, Brazil

Art, Health, and Planetary Healing through Intergenerational Collaboration

The Institute for Art and Innovation (IFAI) is pleased to present its programme for the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30) in Belém, Brazil, taking place from 10 to 21 November 2025.
Through a series of online, hybrid, and on-site events, IFAI and its partners will explore how art and cultural collaboration can foster planetary health, peace, and social transformation.

The COP30 programme is co-organised by the Alliance for Youth-Led Futures (AYLF), especially by the WHO Youth Council, IFAI Berlin and Youth4Planet International, with contributions from artists, young peacebuilders, researchers, and institutional partners from across the globe.

These encounters form part of a shared effort to build a cultural infrastructure for peace, health, and planetary justice—a bridge between art, science, policy, and community practice.

The sessions include the international launch of the Social Art Award 2025 – Planetary Healing: Blue Tribes for Ocean Health, the debut of the Global Youth Call: Art for Peace & Health to win the Youth Social Art Award, a new creative initiative carried by the Alliance for Youth-Led Futures.

Manifesto of the Alliance for Youth-Led Futures

We believe in the power of imagination, collaboration, and care to shape a world
where all beings can thrive — human and more-than-human.

We are young leaders and intergenerational allies.
We come together from across continents, communities, and cultures.
We are united by the desire to co-create just, joyful, and regenerative futures.

What We Stand For

Youth leadership and intergenerational learning
We honor the agency of young people and the wisdom of generations. Real change happens when we listen to each other, learn across generations, and share responsibility.

Planetary consciousness
We are not separate from the Earth — we are part of its living systems. We acknowledge the rights of nature and commit to futures that restore balance, biodiversity, climate resilience, and beauty.

Art and culture as a bridge
Art and culture connect us beyond language. They bring emotion, imagination, and complexity into spaces of action. We use them to transform conflict, build empathy, and inspire change.

Mutual care, equity, and collective wellbeing
Every person deserves to feel seen, safe, and supported. We believe in creating ecosystems of trust and justice where individuals, communities, and nature can flourish together.

Courageous co-creation
We act across sectors, disciplines, and geographies. We know that transformation is a shared journey — and that each voice, each effort, each story, matters.

What We Commit To

  • Supporting youth-led processes that shape inclusive and plural futures
  • Opening up platforms for expression, dialogue, and visibility across borders
  • Championing solutions that center climate justice, peace, and solidarity
  • Facilitating access to spaces of influence – from policy forums to public stages
  • Building transparent, diverse, and regenerative partnerships
  • Weaving art, culture, science, and indigenous knowledge into future-making
  • Creating imaginative and reflective spaces of playing and listening, learning and unlearning – together

We see these commitments not only as a way to heal and regenerate life on Earth, but also as the foundation for how humanity will imagine and govern futures beyond our planet.

Join Us

We invite you to sign this manifesto, join the Alliance, and help co-create the futures we dream of — together.
