Title:
Confinement 4

Author:

Description:
Let's get back in touch with our ecosystem - whether we like it or not we are part of it, this is the subject of this work. I summoned all my senses by the presence of a part of the body on my canvas. The one that is closest in contact with the Earth. These tiptoe legs strive to navigate life with delicacy so as not to upset the existing balance too much. In addition, by acting in this way, the energizing forces of Nature make the qualities of humility and discretion flourish in us. As long as we see the living as a means and not as an end, nothing will change. Let us abandon our attitudes which go against respect for the living. Apologies for all the mistakes and mistreatment my generation inflicted on nature! May all this not augur an uncertain future for the new or younger generations. Let's preserve the beauties of nature and let the wonder remain in the future. Let's spy on our excesses, flush out our flaws, track down our vulnerabilities. Then let us ask ourselves the question of what we really want. Then the solutions to get there will begin to manifest and an entrepreneurial joy will animate our actions, because our "feet will have wings"! Of course, things can remain as they are, especially if our leaders adopt authoritarian policies to keep them on the strong and persistent advice of those who benefit from this context. But I began to hope that populations would branch off, driven by ecological imperatives and the satisfaction of working for collective and no longer individual needs. So imagine if there are many, very many, and even very, many many of us taking such a path! It is unstoppable! acrylic and Indian ink on canvas (80x137,5cm) more information about this collection here : http://www.veronique-egloff.com/2020-2021.html
