Welcome to the Social Art Award 2021 – Online Gallery!
We are grateful for the many inspiring contributions from artists around the world. The selected works reflect a broad spectrum of contemporary social art practices and explore new relationships between humans, nature, and technology. They address themes such as ecological regeneration, climate justice, sustainable futures, social resilience, and more-than-human perspectives.
Below you will find the submissions from the Social Art Award 2021 – New Greening edition that passed the initial jury round. The Online Gallery offers public visibility to these works and encourages dialogue around their ideas and approaches; it does not replace the final jury decision.

The Art Series/Project represents the 7 main types of Renewable Energy: solar, hydroelectric, biomass, wave, geothermal, tidal and wind. The Series symbolises the Regenesis/Rebirth of Earth. This Regenesis can only be achieved through Renewable Energy. Through Renewable Energy we can save our planet and we can be born again. Renewable Energy is our Regenesis! Energy is untouchable, undefinable, unseen and yet so powerful. Energy is Power! The Artworks of the Series are abstract because Energy is an abstract force. The Artworks represent the power of Energy in striking, vibrant, dynamic compositions through colour, texture and fluctuating forms. The fluidity of the acrylic paint symbolises the fluidity and motion of Energy, since Energy is always moving.
