Welcome to the Social Art Award 2021 – Online Gallery!
We are grateful for the many inspiring contributions from artists around the world. The selected works reflect a broad spectrum of contemporary social art practices and explore new relationships between humans, nature, and technology. They address themes such as ecological regeneration, climate justice, sustainable futures, social resilience, and more-than-human perspectives.
Below you will find the submissions from the Social Art Award 2021 – New Greening edition that passed the initial jury round. The Online Gallery offers public visibility to these works and encourages dialogue around their ideas and approaches; it does not replace the final jury decision.

This work is a painting on fabric with calligraphic expressions to highlight the art, its inseparability from the rest of social activities and fully integrated into the systems of production, exchange and consumption. Indeed, each artist is a sponge that soaks up his environment. It is the result of complex interactions between genetics, biochemistry and psychology, combined with other social, cultural and environmental interactions. He therefore evolves according to his personal experiences, events and social changes. In addition, other factors come into play: the state and quality of knowledge, the access and circulation of information, the technological possibilities and / or limits of its time. From all this will determine the potential of his personal fields of action and investigation. art is essential to the health of society. Its role is to offer the spectator a portrait of his society, of his reality, so that he can develop an awareness of his own condition and of the multiple realities of his environment. art is subversive because it leads us to question our understanding of reality. Art questions the viewer in all its relationships with the universe. He is led to question himself, to review his taken for granted. Art is a catalyst that can initiate the changes and adjustments necessary for the continuity of society. This is how artists seize each day of the infinite resource that is creativity. to transform places into destinations and enrich the lived experience of the people who travel there.
