The selected works reflect the diversity of contemporary social art practices and address urgent issues such as climate and water crises, social and economic inequality, migration, conflict, discrimination, and the protection of human and more-than-human life.

Octoguardian – Coral Reef Protection Robot

The Octoguardian is a compact, octopus-shaped robot designed to monitor coral reef health in real-time and inject a special regenerative liquid into degraded areas. Using soft, flexible tentacles, the robot works carefully to avoid damaging the delicate corals. The robot is equipped with AI to analyze the color and texture of the corals, optimizing the regeneration process. Octoguardians form a network, working in harmony to cover a wide area efficiently. Visually, the Octoguardian glows vibrantly underwater, moving gracefully between the corals while performing its delicate tasks, symbolizing hope for a healthier, restored ocean.
