“TOO THIRSTY”/ 2025/ Front page/digital work...
EFI SEITANIDOU
The front page "TOO THIRSTY" addresses the overconsumption of natural resources, drawing parallels between the vital importance of water for human life and the need for data in artificial intelligence. Water, as an element of "memory" and data storage in artificial intelligence, highlights the connection between the human and technological worlds. The excessive consumption of resources, which constitute the "memory of the Earth," raises concerns about their sustainability and management, while many regions of the world continue to face shortages of essential natural resources, such as water, emphasizing the need for responsible and equitable management. By repeating the phrases “AI NEEDS WATER”, “I NEED WATER”, “DO I NEED AI?”, “MORE WATER MORE AI” in different layers, varying tonalities and typographic fonts, I create a text that refers to a front page and will be printed on newspaper-sized paper, 42X60 cm.
