Award 2021
Welcome to the Social Art Award 2021 – Online Gallery!
We are grateful for the many inspiring contributions from artists around the world. The selected works reflect a broad spectrum of contemporary social art practices and explore new relationships between humans, nature, and technology. They address themes such as ecological regeneration, climate justice, sustainable futures, social resilience, and more-than-human perspectives.
Below you will find the submissions from the Social Art Award 2021 – New Greening edition that passed the initial jury round. The Online Gallery offers public visibility to these works and encourages dialogue around their ideas and approaches; it does not replace the final jury decision.
Thank you to all artists for sharing your visionary and committed work. We invite you to explore the gallery and engage with the perspectives shaping New Greening.

Believing in the existence of a reality beyond the material world. In this film, I want to explore the relationship of the space, between us and everyone, the energy that we share. All energy we have is only borrowed and one day we have to return it. In a way, it is a metamorphosis. The sun is our main source of energy, allowing plants to photosynthesise together with oxygen and water, a reunion of the four elements of nature. Plants are eaten by animals or humans who directly eat meat or vegetables. Hence, a transfer of energy that is once used by the previous life. People passed on and their ashes will be scattered in the ocean or buried deep in the ground, returning to nature, the source of our energy. It is important to note that everyone should be respected and not be placed in a hierarchy order. Animals Plants Sea Sun Humans are all equal, belief in their existence is love & love needs a reality.
