Dear artists, colleagues, friends and art-enthusiasts, we proudly invite you to the ceremony of “The Social Art Award 2025 – PLANETARY HEALING: Blue tribes for ocean health”, presenting the final winners of the 2025 edition of the Social Art Award.

The Social Art Award Ceremony will be held online on July 2, 2025.

You can register to participate in the ceremony using this link.

We look forward to cherishing and discussing with you the stimulating social artist contributions and this year’s topic: the preservation of our oceans and seas. The 2025 theme resonates with the UN Ocean Decade (2021–2030), a global initiative dedicated to advancing scientific research, innovation, and collaboration to safeguard and restore our oceans. Through artistic expression, the Social Art Award 2025 aims to raise awareness, inspire action, and foster a deeper understanding of the ocean, promoting more sustainable behaviors.

Meet the winning artists, the organizers and the jury members, and share your thoughts and opinions. Our goal is to build a lively dialogue and highlight how artists can create tangible change in our world.

At IFAI, we define Social Art as any artistic expression that aims at creating a social impact and make a difference. This definition delineates the intention of the artist as crucial; Art engages in questioning and rethinking existing systems and paradigms. Artists are visionaries, utopists and agents for change, with the ability to affect society by creating emotionally captivating experiences and works of art. Then, it is aesthetic revolution that preludes societal revolution. Thus, the goal of the Social Art Award is to invigorate the rise of Social Art. We truly believe we need more people to create impact and to inspire change.

The award explores this field, and seeks to raise attention and reward Social Art and social artists’ work and the importance they had for society. This year, the award caught the interest of 922 artists from all over the world with diverse backgrounds regarding culture, age and gender.

The Social Art Award is an independent and not for profit initiative by the Institute for Art and Innovation e.V.

Please note: Later this year, you can order a digital or physical copy of the Social Art Award Book 2025 (English) featuring the Top 100+2 artists.
