Upcoming events !
Dear artists, colleagues, friends, and art enthusiasts,
The Institute for Art and Innovation (IFAI) is proud to present a series of upcoming online events inspired by this year’s Social Art Award theme: Planetary Healing: Blue Tribes for Ocean Health.
This series consists of three symposia, each dedicated to fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and co-creation at the intersection of art, science, and policy for ocean preservation. Through these events, we aim to collectively shape sustainable futures !
Blue Schools Symposium
June 12, 4–7 PM (CET)
Held in German
Driven by the belief that education is a powerful catalyst for change, this symposium explores how ocean literacy and social art can be integrated into educational systems. Educators, artists, and policymakers will come together to discuss participatory learning approaches and the role of Blue Schools in raising sustainability awareness among new generations.

Blue Futures Symposium
July 9 & July 16, 4–8 PM (CET)
Held in English
This two-part symposium aims to demonstrate how art—particularly social art—can act as a powerful driver of social innovation and transformation. Together, we will explore how creative practices can help shape future narratives for ocean sustainability and influence political and environmental decision-making.
Both events offer interactive formats, expert speakers, and hands-on workshops designed to build meaningful connections and develop practical strategies for integrating creativity into systemic change.
This is more than just a conversation—it’s a call to action.
Blue Futures Symposium I will focus on interdisciplinary collaboration between social artists, scientists, and innovators working in ocean sustainability.
Program includes :
- sharing of creative practices
- discussions on balancing ecological and economic interests, the role of art in behavioral change, and the use of digital twins in modeling sustainable futures.

Moreover, the Social Art & Social Design Festival will take place the 20th of June, in Innside Berlin Mitte Hotel by SRH university students.
All these events are part of the broader vision of the 2025 Social Art Award, contributing to its mission to co-create new pathways for ocean resilience and reimagine our shared future through transdisciplinary initiatives such as social art and social design. Through the initiative of visionary artists, we seek to open new channels of communication, reflection, and ultimately direct action.
We look forward to your participation in this transformative journey !
